Trueblood Report

Trueblood Report
A report, Objectives of Financial Statements, prepared by a committee chaired by Robert M. Trueblood and published by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants in 1971. The report identified the basic objective of financial statements as the provision of information useful for making economic decisions. It was influential in the preparation by the US Financial Accounting Standards Board of Statement of Financial Accounting Concepts No. 1.
